The Document That Lies There

We placed it on the desk on time:
an IN box for the department to Process.
Not our department:
we cannot touch it more.

It lies there:
untouched.
It lies there:
they know what it is.
It lies there.

To say more would be
Unpolitic,
Pushy,
Crossing lines.

We must wait,
and become Buddhists
in our patience.
